Caritas et Veritas – Charity and Truth

Our Mission: we serve Our Lord Jesus Christ and his Gospel through His gifts of faith and reason conveying His Truth with Love for the salvation of souls.

Our Team: All persons who serve in Faith Formation (DRE, catechists, teachers, volunteers) are required to attend the Diocesan safe environment Safe Haven Training and pass a background check. It is also required of them to accept fully the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Who do we serve: The Faith Formation Department serves the communities of both St. Joseph and St. Stephen Parishes, under the leadership of our Pastor Fr. Victor C. Perez.

What do we teach: Following Holy Scripture, Tradition and the Magisterium of the Catholic Church classes and session of different kinds are provided for all ages, both in English and Spanish.

Faith Formation includes:

• Elementary (Pre-K through 6th grade) both English and Spanish

• Jr High (grades 7-8) English

• High School (Youth Ministry by Adore Ministries) in English

• Young Adults (by Adore Ministries) in English

• RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) for Children and Adults (English and Spanish)

• Adult Faith Formation (Catholics who wish to grow in their faith, return to the Church and non-Catholics who are seeking): topic-specific formation classes, retreats, seminars, workshops, guest speakers, and much more! 

• Preparation for the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation)
